ADHD
There are three primary characteristics of ADHD: Inattentiveness, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, though all three are not always apparent in one child.
Children with ADHD may:
Have trouble staying focused or get easily distracted
Appear not to be listening when spoken to
Constantly “fidget” and “squirm”
Talk excessively
Act seemingly without thinking
Interrupt often, or say the wrong thing at the wrong time
Have a short temper or “short fuse”
These symptoms can cause problems in school and at home if left untreated. This can include having trouble making friends, low self-esteem, friction within the whole family, and other academic or interpersonal obstacles.
